Reflections

A collection of my personal reflections throughout the MDEF program. Here, I document my journey, thoughts, and experiences along the way via audio recordings.

Reflection 1 (weeks 1-2)

In the first weeks of this final term, I’ve felt a strong need to bring clarity and focus to all the chaos and material I’ve been collecting. My work with sweat has grown deeper and more personal, but now I’m shifting from open exploration to shaping a final narrative. It’s not just about testing anymore, it’s about choosing what to keep, what to let go of, and how to communicate the meaning behind it. The idea of sweat as something valuable is still at the core, but I want to express it more sharply: through installation, sensory design, and symbolic experimentation. This moment feels like a turning point, where intuition meets decision.

Reflection 2 (Week 3–4)

In this stage, I’m focusing on how to sustain and grow my project beyond MDEFest. I’m reflecting on my hybrid identity as a designer rooted in research, but also driven by materials and product creation. My work with sweat is not just symbolic; it’s about creating tangible tools for reflection and perception. I’m now thinking about possible paths like residencies, research collaborations, or even wearables that invite people to relate differently to their bodies. My strategy is to keep documenting and building connections that will help this vision continue evolving in the future.
